I Can’t Make Money Online
To tell the truth I was inspired yesterday to write this article for all the beginners looking to make money online. The real problem is not actually making money online but starting at the right directions. Many people (including me before a couple of years) would read, start something then after one week they would quit. The real success is not on quitting, the real success lies beyond that, you have to work, Im not saying the usual “work hard” but you have to actually work and most of it is data entry or link building.
This article will help you realize how easy it is to actually make money online, how much you make depends on your skills and how good you are on outsourcing. First of all you have to actually know what you want to do, will you do a site to earn from PPC (Adsense) , content lock (cpalead) or you gonna do a site with the sole intention of flipping it?
Select a Proper Non Competitive Niche
I see people with no clue on internet marketing or making money online opening blogs just for the sake of claiming to have a “make money online blog”. Now if you make a total of $30 per month (excluding paypal fees) how on earth are you gonna teach others to make money? Thats the first mistake and most probably one of the most severe ones because you are going to lose interest and jump to the next failed project. I suggest you stick with small but yet effective niches, for example one niche might be airsoft guns. Competing against 100,000 other sites is easier than competing against 50,000,000 sites. Do your keyword research and check which terms get at least 20k searches (exact) and you are ready to go
Buying the proper domain name
Another important and I really mean important factor which would affect your success is the domain name. In a previous article I have contradicted myself saying that a domain is not important when you work hard however the site you are going to build relies specifically on organic traffic and for it the domain name is very important. People are purchasing new domains and most of the time senseless ones because the good ones have gone long time ago. Now always remember, its better investing $100 or more in a nice but old domain name rather than getting a newly created one. The sole reason behind this is domain age, a really important factor when trying to rank higher on Google, Yahoo or even Bing. I have started investing in old domain names and some of them were firstly registered in 1997. So do you understand what does it mean to have an old domain name? It meas you can push more and more backlinks and since you’re already old enough Google will not penalize you, in addition they will send you higher in the rankings.
Take my word for it, been there done that. If we have 2 identical sites with same number of backlinks, the site with the older domain name will rank higher (I’ve been there and tested that so take my word for granted)
Content is King
Now that you have a 4-5 year old domain name is not a good thing getting PLR articles or copied from somewhere else, you just hire someone to have 20-30 unique well researched articles. Only 30 articles and you dont have to touch anymore your site to add new content. Make sure all of your pages are optimized for the SE’s and make sure each page has its own meta tags. I’ve seen most of times in marketplaces, sites with unique content tend to sell easier than the ones with auto-generated content
Choose The Proper Monetization Methods
I have visited sites about marketing and advertising stress relief products. I mean come on, how on earth can that convert? In an airsoft guns site, your best monetization methods would be:
- Adsense
- Ebay Partner Program (advertising airsoft guns on ebay)
- Affiliate (becoming affiliate of airsoft guns wholesalers)
So there you have 3 solid and proven monetization methods that would work quite well on an airsoft guns site
Did all of the above recommendations, now what?
Now its time to build backlinks and since you have an airsoft guns site, find forums and communities where they talk about airsoft guns, make sure you interact with each other and dont forget to drop your link so they can visit your site time to time. Every single backlink is vital so don’t hesitate linking back your site from different sources.
Make sure to be part of the social web as well, create an account on YouTube, create videos and watermark them, create a twitter page, create facebook fanpages, everything will help you rank higher and you will see that your earnings are going to increase
I’m desperate, I’ve been working for 3 months but I haven’t earned any dollars
Well let me tell you its impossible, however if you still insist then go and list your page for sale. Emphasize the fact that your domain is old, you have unique content, you have a lot of backlinks and you will see yourself how your site gonna be sold for more than $300. The fact is many people (including me) are quite lazy to start a site from scratch. I mean i’m constantly looking for such sites with old domains and unique content and they are being sold for more than $500 even if the earnings might be as low as zero.
Conclusion
I chose that intriguing title for the sole purpose of A) getting your attention B) ranking on top of google for the term “i cant make money online” so everyone who cant make money will actually read this C) to actually teach you how easy it is to make money online. I mean come on. Go at Flippa.com and check out sites which sell for $3-5k. Do they have anything special? Well, no, besides the fact they were started before 3-4 years. Start a site now and dedicate your time, build links, unique content, treat it as your girlfriend and you will see how well it goes (FYI im against dumping aka “flipping” your girlfriend after a couple of years
)
Go ahead and make some money, you might actually need it because summer’s gonna be really hot this year ![]()

This is a great post. One of the biggest things I’ve found is you need to select a proper niche and then carve a sub-niche out of it. It’s also not said enough in terms of SEO, but content truly is king! Great article
