Get Some Domain Names For Free!

February 6, 2009 in News by Olgi Zenullari

Alright I was checking today one of my accounts at Dynadot and I found I had some domain names which I wont be using. I registered some of them with the sole intention of developing and flipping but other bigger projects made me forget those domains.

Which domain name can I get for free ?

Actually there are a couple of domain names that I will push to each one of you. All you have to do is comment on this blog and subscribe as an email reader. The following domain names are available for you. Do not forget that you should have a Dynadot.com account so I can push the domain names to you!

  • pussymania.org
  • infraads.com
  • cricketprofile.com
  • antispamsoftwares.info
  • host-help.info
  • ebreastcancer.info

Some of the domain names have 4-5 months left so you can develop them and make some income using Google Adsense. As you can see there are some high paying keywords and you can start as soon as possible by only pointing the domain name to your server.

Who is elligible ?

Anyone who has posted a comment on this post and has subscribed as my email reader will be able to receive a domain name. Please leave a comment below with the domain name you want! Make sure your email address that you provide during the process of commenting is the address which you used to register at Dynadot. I will verify whether you are on my email list and will push the domain to you.

ONE FREE DOMAIN NAME FOR EACH PERSON

Pay Attention To Your WordPress Security

January 15, 2009 in News by Olgi Zenullari

To tell the truth I have never been concerned about the security of my sites. However after discussing with some of my friends I realized a lot of our blogs (I’m talking about WordPress) have some loops which are risky. Someone with proper knowledge would be able hack our blogs.

What should I do in order to prevent my WordPress blog from being hacked?

First of all it is recommended that you have the latest version of WordPress installed. If you are using any older versions, you better update your blog as the latest version of WordPress has fixed some previous possible loops and has increased security. Click here to get the latest WordPress version.

Most of us (including me) didn’t know that wp-content/plugins or wp-content/themes were accessible from anyone. I have seen some great affiliate marketers or entrepreneurs who haven’t changed anything to prevent anyone checking their information.
So by accessing wp-content/plugins I can see what plugins someone has installed and in this way I can find possible loopholes from which I can profit and hack the site. A good method to stop anyone checking your wp-content/plugins or wp-content/themes is by adding a blank index.html file. So when someone will try to see what you have installed, the blank page will be shown.

Be careful my friends as many of us upload their premium themes as zipped files on the “themes” directory so someone could easily get the theme for FREE. Thats why I strongly recommend you to add a blank page on both wp-content/plugins and wp-content/themes.

Another suggestion from me would be to change your username. In most of the manually installed WordPress blogs, you have a custom username as “admin” so by accessing your phpMyAdmin you could change that value into something else. In this way it would be much harder for someone to find both usernames and password rather than only the password.

I have just checked 2 well-known entrepreneurs and I could easily access their wp-content/plugins and wp-content/themes. This means I could see all of their plugins and themes which is not good as someone might cause you problems just from that information. I have contacted personally those bloggers and informed them about this issue.

Just Received My Advaliant Check!

December 23, 2008 in News by Olgi Zenullari

Hello Fellow Readers of OZ!

Seems Santa Claus came earlier this year for me. I got a phone call from my neighbor and he told me there was a new mail for me. I knew it was a check but I didnt know from which affiliate company as I’m expecting 2-3 checks. After  I got it I was surprized when I saw “Advaliant” on the envelope. I quickly opened it and saw my November commissions which are $262.75 (only from Advaliant)

I would like to thank Advaliant as they are great affiliate company which offer unique offers and pay top dollars to their publishers. Below I’m posting 2 photos taken from my digital camera right now

How To Optimize Your Meta Tags?

December 21, 2008 in News by Olgi Zenullari

I have been asked many times how to properly optimize the meta tags for better SE positioning. Below you will find some interesting resources which will help you optimize better your website

  1. Meta Description

Meta Description is basically a summary of what your site is about. Don’t forget that meta tags are crawled by Google Bots and they are really important. A simple code of meta description would be like <meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=”The text you want goes here.”>

Let’s write a simple description and see which would perform better

    a. <meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=”Webmaster Information For All.”>
    b.
<meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=”Useful webmaster resources which will help your site rank higher on search engines and get much more exposure.”>

So which one do you think would perform better? Definitely the second one as it gives more information about your site

  2. Meta Keywords

Meta Keywords are another factor which affects your SE ranking position. If you have a hosting website you should add keywords which are related to your niche online. The code is as follows:<meta name=”KEYWORDS” content=”Your Keyword list over here“>

Make sure you don’t add 3-4 same keywords or dont use more than 10 different keywords. A good example would be:

<meta name=”KEYWORDS” content=”web hosting, cheap web hosting, compare host, hosting packages, linux hosting“>

  3. TITLE

Another important factor is the title of your page. It is shown at the top of the browser and its the primary thing seen (or read) from Google Bot<title> Make Money Online with Olgi Zenullari</title>

So the above three optimizations will help you achieve better results and gain more traffic from search engines. I would strongly recommend you to use a SITEMAP for your site too as a Google Bot will find the possible linking from your first page and index all the other pages aswell I have also experimented with another meta tag which I would definitely suggest you to use it if you have a blog or a site which you update frequently

<meta name=”revisit-after” content=”7 days”>

This meta tag tells to the  google bot (spider) after how many days should it revisit your site. Based on your update frequency you can set 3 days or 7 days or even 14 days Hope you have found something useful in this article

How To Properly Flip a Website?

December 10, 2008 in News by Olgi Zenullari

Many of you have heard the term “domain flipping” or “website flipping” but many of you fail to success because you underestimate some crucial factors.

I have seen many webmasters which are trying to flip proxies, image hosting sites, arcade’s or other types of turnkey sites. Personally I believe this isnt the right way to properly flip a website.

Think as you were a buyer yourself, what would you buy? Would you purchase an image hosting site which has 1000 uniques per day just because of hotlinking (posting images on forums) or a nice little blog with useful information and uniquely designed which provides fresh unique articles?

Most of you might know that flipping turnkey sites is not the best way of making money online. I would strongly recommend you to create unique blogs in different niches, try to find some themes which match your content and write by yourself some unique articles.

Its all about first impression. If an interested buyer visits your site and he gets impressed from a well organized blog and unique articles then most probably he is going to bid/buy your site

I’m dead sure you can make a nice profit by offering wordpress blogs, fully optimized (a couple of plugins installed) and articles. You don’t need to have traffic or revenue to sell your site for more than $50.

Which niches should I use for my blogs?

You must know the fact that your buyers are interested in your blog if and only if they see a potential in revenue. If you create a blog about free games or any other low-paying niche the chances are you are going to get a lower bid or sale for your site.

If you create an unique blog in the highest paying niches (finance , education , medicine , webmastering) your chances will be higher to sell your blog at your desired price.

Make sure you fulfill all the requirements below if you would like to have a good sale

  • Attractive Theme
  • 5 unique articles
  • 4-5 important plugins (such as all-in-one seo or google sitemap)
  • Organized and easy to navigate

If you believe you can create a blog with the above characteristics, in a high paying niche, I guarantee you a nice and fast sale
