Develop As Many Sites As You Can!

December 31, 2008 in Business by Olgi Zenullari

The current financial crisis all over the world is influencing a lot almost every single business. Many webmasters are suffering a lot. People are not spending money as before, there are fewer investments. I was checking SitePoint’s Marketplace and many sites are being sold under their normal price because of the economical problems.
You can find really good sites with a lot of potential cheaper than 1 year ago. People are tired of this crisis and want to get rid even from their most successful sites. What everyone is looking at the moment is CASH. I would not recommend anyone to flip sites at this period of time. You might sell the site but not at your desired price you might have expected.

Personally I believe that now is the perfect time to develop sites. If you don’t have skills to do them by yourself, hire some guys to design and code (or program) a site for you. Of course that they will charge less than in normal financial conditions.

Try to increase your website portfolio at this period of time because the value of your sites will increase during the next 3-4 months. Its good investing money on freelancers and other stuff to get the proper sites so when the prices get back to normal, you will have a lot of sites to sell.

Try to built sites on specific niches like finance, loans, investments, attorneys or even health-relates sites.

I will be posting soon a case study report I have done so make sure you are subscribed to get the latest articles

Life Goes On!

December 30, 2008 in Blogging, General by Olgi Zenullari

I haven’t written any post for more than one week and I do apologize. I have had some offline issues which I’m still trying to figure out. This post is more focused on a lesson of life rather than making some cash or increasing your pagerank.

There is a saying in Albanian language

“And if you fall 99 times, you will still stand once”

Alright many of you might be asking what’s this is all about? I have been reading different inspirational blogs which have been able to provide good information and always shared secrets with their readers. One of those guys is Paul Bourque. He has been a great affiliate marketer making hundreds of thousands each month. He was a true inspiration for many new entrepreneurs or affiliate marketers who wanted to start making money online. Many entrepreneurs wanted to be like him but what has happened lastly has really made me think twice, that’s why I wrote this post.

Paul is that kind of guy who knows what he talks about, never says it’s white when it’s actually blue and always willing to give support. He also used to make a lot of money online (more than many might make in a year). He also had a nice girlfriend which he really loved. So far it seems like a fairy tale, something like utopia. The problems started when he broke off with his girlfriend. Breaking off from someone who means the world to you, is never easy. I imagine breaking off from my girlfriend … I couldn’t swallow it but hey, it’s not the end of the world. You are neither the first nor the last. His earnings have decreased drastically (last month he made approx $180 profit) so where is the super duper affiliate we were used to see all the time? Where are all those huge earnings, those inspiring posts?

Many want to be on your footsteps Paul but this isn’t the proper way. You shouldn’t be pessimistic. This mood won’t help you get better. It’s time to move, bigger projects, new life. Show to your ex-girlfriend that she was wrong, that she had a great boyfriend once but she lost it and she will never ever have a better one. This can only be achieved by working hard and getting again those huge commissions.

Of course I don’t know the causes of the break off but I see Paul’s behavior and I can say that he is suffering a lot. Take this post as an indicator which guides you to move on and never turn back the time. Don’t let your past influence your future.

To all the ones which might have been in a similar situation. You should know what to do and how to react, it’s not easy but again I repeat it, that’s life. We are just temporal passengers in this world . . .

December 23, 2008 in News by Olgi Zenullari

Hello Fellow Readers of OZ!

Seems Santa Claus came earlier this year for me. I got a phone call from my neighbor and he told me there was a new mail for me. I knew it was a check but I didnt know from which affiliate company as I’m expecting 2-3 checks. After  I got it I was surprized when I saw “Advaliant” on the envelope. I quickly opened it and saw my November commissions which are $262.75 (only from Advaliant)

I would like to thank Advaliant as they are great affiliate company which offer unique offers and pay top dollars to their publishers. Below I’m posting 2 photos taken from my digital camera right now

How To Optimize Your Meta Tags?

December 21, 2008 in News by Olgi Zenullari

I have been asked many times how to properly optimize the meta tags for better SE positioning. Below you will find some interesting resources which will help you optimize better your website

  1. Meta Description

Meta Description is basically a summary of what your site is about. Don’t forget that meta tags are crawled by Google Bots and they are really important. A simple code of meta description would be like <meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=”The text you want goes here.”>

Let’s write a simple description and see which would perform better

    a. <meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=”Webmaster Information For All.”>
    b.
<meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=”Useful webmaster resources which will help your site rank higher on search engines and get much more exposure.”>

So which one do you think would perform better? Definitely the second one as it gives more information about your site

  2. Meta Keywords

Meta Keywords are another factor which affects your SE ranking position. If you have a hosting website you should add keywords which are related to your niche online. The code is as follows:<meta name=”KEYWORDS” content=”Your Keyword list over here“>

Make sure you don’t add 3-4 same keywords or dont use more than 10 different keywords. A good example would be:

<meta name=”KEYWORDS” content=”web hosting, cheap web hosting, compare host, hosting packages, linux hosting“>

  3. TITLE

Another important factor is the title of your page. It is shown at the top of the browser and its the primary thing seen (or read) from Google Bot<title> Make Money Online with Olgi Zenullari</title>

So the above three optimizations will help you achieve better results and gain more traffic from search engines. I would strongly recommend you to use a SITEMAP for your site too as a Google Bot will find the possible linking from your first page and index all the other pages aswell I have also experimented with another meta tag which I would definitely suggest you to use it if you have a blog or a site which you update frequently

<meta name=”revisit-after” content=”7 days”>

This meta tag tells to the  google bot (spider) after how many days should it revisit your site. Based on your update frequency you can set 3 days or 7 days or even 14 days Hope you have found something useful in this article

Make Money Writing E-books!

December 13, 2008 in Business by Olgi Zenullari

Alright  I can understand how do you feel. Its okay though, you don’t need to have writing skills or native English. Anyone in the world can write e-books and make a profit selling them on different forums.

The main problem is what to write? You should think as a buyer yourself, what would you buy if you would have some spare dollars? Would you purchase a dating e-book or would you purchase a guide on how to make your site popular?

There are many people who write e-books and make a living from them. Basically it’s all about marketing if you ask me. Actually its 20 % content of your e-book and 80 % marketing skills. (Note that professional marketers can sell even air)

Each of us is good in one specific niche (If you don’t know where you are good at then it means you haven’t discovered yet your skills). By knowing valuable information and writing it down, you are going to help many desperate amateurs who are lurking around without hope.

Let’s get an example of an e-book I have written before a couple of months. It was about betting. Since I have been a professional gambler I thought I could help all the amateurs who were looking for tips on betting.

It took me less than 1 hour to completely finish it and add some payment proofs (This will increase your number of sales as you will seem like someone who knows what you talk about). I converted my .doc file on .pdf and I was ready to sell it. I opened a thread on Digital Point Forums and gave 2 review copies to reputable members and I sold like 15 copies (at $15 per piece) for a hefty total of $225. I know its not an enormous amount but for just an hour of work this is pretty good return.
CONCLUSION

Many of you know a lot of things about different webmaster stuff. Other guys are paying top dollars to learn new things so you could create a small e-book with some useful resources and sell the e-book for $7. Just make sure you market it well as that’s the crucial factor.

DISCLAIMER

On Digital Point Forums I see a lot of crappy e-books and they even get 2-3 sales. The idea of this article is to inform you that you can make money selling e-books IF you offer something which has value for the others. Perhaps a case study or something you have done before which would help the others. Please do not create crappy e-books for the sole purpose of getting some dollars. Also remember that if you create a good e-book and have many sales, it will help you and encourage you to write another e-book and you will have again customers as they will know your quality and professionalism
Thanks for your time

How To Properly Flip a Website?

December 10, 2008 in News by Olgi Zenullari

Many of you have heard the term “domain flipping” or “website flipping” but many of you fail to success because you underestimate some crucial factors.

I have seen many webmasters which are trying to flip proxies, image hosting sites, arcade’s or other types of turnkey sites. Personally I believe this isnt the right way to properly flip a website.

Think as you were a buyer yourself, what would you buy? Would you purchase an image hosting site which has 1000 uniques per day just because of hotlinking (posting images on forums) or a nice little blog with useful information and uniquely designed which provides fresh unique articles?

Most of you might know that flipping turnkey sites is not the best way of making money online. I would strongly recommend you to create unique blogs in different niches, try to find some themes which match your content and write by yourself some unique articles.

Its all about first impression. If an interested buyer visits your site and he gets impressed from a well organized blog and unique articles then most probably he is going to bid/buy your site

I’m dead sure you can make a nice profit by offering wordpress blogs, fully optimized (a couple of plugins installed) and articles. You don’t need to have traffic or revenue to sell your site for more than $50.

Which niches should I use for my blogs?

You must know the fact that your buyers are interested in your blog if and only if they see a potential in revenue. If you create a blog about free games or any other low-paying niche the chances are you are going to get a lower bid or sale for your site.

If you create an unique blog in the highest paying niches (finance , education , medicine , webmastering) your chances will be higher to sell your blog at your desired price.

Make sure you fulfill all the requirements below if you would like to have a good sale

  • Attractive Theme
  • 5 unique articles
  • 4-5 important plugins (such as all-in-one seo or google sitemap)
  • Organized and easy to navigate

If you believe you can create a blog with the above characteristics, in a high paying niche, I guarantee you a nice and fast sale
